Dody Stottlemyer for School Board
Why am I running for the school board?
Over the last few years, when I have questioned the spending in Frederick County, I have been given these answers where it relates to the school board. The responses from both the Board of Supervisors and our elected delegates to the General Assembly are as follows:
Once they fund the School Board's budget, our laws in VA prohibit any oversight in spending from the Board of Supervisors. The delegates from the VA General Assembly, will tell you the voters have the oversight, by whom they elect to the School Board. THAT is the reason, after prayerful consideration, I have decided to run for the School Board. There needs to be some private sector common sense, merged into a School Board, which seems to demand more and more money for their spending sprees, at the expense of all the taxpayers.

Let's bring a common sense perspective for solutions to the problems our school system faces
Why should you care about who is on the school board?
As a community, we must fund the divisions of the County that provide services for all. There should be responsible spending of those funds, because we as taxpayers work
hard for our income. We must insist that the School Board and Administrators are duly diligent when it comes to spending our tax dollars, as our schools receive 57% of the Frederick County budget right off the top. We are all affected when real estate taxes go up; homeowners, renters, commercial and industrial properties are all subject to ever increasing real estate taxes.
